Onward! A Legacy Foundation

To further assist the non-profit community, Onward! supports numerous groups and initiatives by being their Fiscal Sponsor. This fiscal sponsorship is an agreement between Onward! and the group/initiative/ project which is providing or meeting a community need and requires non-profit recognition.

Once the group is sponsored by Onward!, they are now provided the benefits of a 501(c)(3) tax exempt status and all their financial activity is recorded on the Onward! books. Onward! provides the necessary support so that these groups may pursue their programs or missions, with some of the groups eventually obtaining their own non-profit status.

Below are some of Onward!'s current Fiscal Sponsorships:

School Community Youth Collaborative (SCYC) -

SCYC connects non-profit, governmental and community-based organizations along with local business to promote system and community improvements for the benefit of youth and families in Montezuma and Dolores Counties.

Through research, training and the coordination of resources, SCYC takes a leadership role in improving the quality of life for youth and families. SCYC promotes the diversity, expertise and passion of collaborators to make a difference in our community.

SCYC hosts the annual Teen Maze event.

Southwest Community Leadership Collaborative (SCLC) -

SCLC operates the Leadership Montezuma programs, the High School Leadership Montezuma and the Summit Leadership Series.

Montelores Non-Profit Council (MNPC) -

MNPC is a network of leaders and decision-makers of non-profit and other organizations invested in making Montezuma and Dolores County communities stronger by creating opportunities for their organizations to effectively collaborate and to grow their capacities to achieve their missions. This council is funded by a generous grant from the El Pomar Foundation.

Reach-Out Agency -

Reach-Out helps churches and ministries plan, grow and venture out into the Christian music concert scene.

Student Taking action against Underage Drinking (STUD) -

STUD is a program of Dove Creek High School consisting of students who are taking action against underage drinking.
